EPWIN WINDOW SYSTEMS has launched a new Integral bifold door said to combine PVC-U detailing with the strength and performance of aluminium.
Marketing manager Gerald Allen explained: “Bifold doors are a booming sector but to date there has always been a problem. Aluminium bifold doors simply don’t suite with existing PVC-U window systems.
“Our new Integral bifolds have the strength and performance of an aluminium bifold but with PVC-U detailing to create a door that suites perfectly with leading PVC-U systems for a seamless aesthetic appeal.”
Integral bifolds are comprised of double-walled aluminium profiles, double hinge fixings, stainless-steel tracks and brushed. The external frame and sash upstand are bevelled to match the leading PVC-U systems. There is the alternative of a sash with a square-shaped upstand.
All doors are internally glazed and feature a choice of bevelled or sculptured PVC-U beads. And, where clean modern lines are required, there’s a square aluminium bead.
Integral bifolds can accommodate up to seven leaves with a width of 700 to 1000 mm. Multiple opening options are available in single traffic door or french door, left and right stacking or centre parking. There’s a choice of access door position and leaves can open inwards or outwards.
They can be glazed from 28mm to 44mm triple glazing with a U value as low as 1.1W/m²K. They are PAS 24 accredited up to 1000mm wide x 2400mm high, meet Secured by Design standards and are Document Q approved.
