East Midlands fabricator Frame Fast, appoints Karl Vandebroucke to grow its glass shop. His extensive experience in manufacturing glazed units adds extra knowledge into the technical team at Frame Fast.

Karl says: “I knew that Frame Fast wanted to grow this side of the business, so I jumped at the chance to head up the glass shop.”

Karl has been quick to put improvements in place and Frame Fast is already winning extra glazing work.

“With a new layout in the factory, we have massively increased capacity,” says Karl. “Since I started, the team has doubled the number of units manufactured. We have taken in-house some more specialised glass, and we can already see there’s a growing demand.”

Before Frame Fast, Karl worked at a Derby glass manufacturer for 27 years, joining straight from school. Karl worked his way up and has a vast knowledge of the whole process of manufacturing glazed units.

“I’ve known the team for many years so I already knew there was a strong group of hardworking and knowledgeable people here. It made my decision to join the team really easy.

“The majority of glass units produced in our glass shop are for PVCu and aluminium windows, doors, composite doors, bi-folds and roofs. We manufacture all units in house at Frame Fast’s busy Derby factory.”
