The new Matalan head office site at Knowsley Industrial Park makes extensive use of the ALUPROF range of aluminium framed glazing systems.

Humberside fabricator CSI won the contract to fabricate and install the external façade of the three-storey, 132,000 sq ft office block.

The main façades of the offices consist of Aluprof’s 50mm ‘MBSR50N’ curtain walling with the reception atrium completed in the capless version of the same system, including seals with further insulation provided by HPVC strips. The glazing shade variations to main curtain walling areas are achieved by a mixture of Cool-Lite ST150, Grey tinted and Mid Grey ceramic spandrels.

Doors are constructed from Aluprofs' ‘MB70’ system, with the entrance side pass doors fabricated using ‘MB86’. This system enables glass to be bonded to the actual face of the door leaf to give a flush glazed effect.
