Aluminium fabricators Dudley’s Aluminium has formally announced new positions for its current board of directors, as part of a strategic move to provide additional clarity for its stakeholders.

The move sees Colin Shorney announced as Managing Director, Robert Rice take on the role of Operations Director, and Russell Cope named Finance Director and Company Secretary.

Dudley’s Aluminium split from S Dudley & Sons during a management buy-out in 2013. Since the buy-out, the current board members have undertaken more general directorial roles, and speaking about this latest development, new Managing Director Colin Shorney said:

“This announcement has been made to remove any ambiguity that may have existed and to provide clarity for our key stakeholders, who include our customers, suppliers, advisors; and very importantly, our own staff.

“Since our split from S Dudley & Sons we feel there had been some confusion around our operating titles, so we have made this announcement to make clear our positions on the company board. Our day-to-day operations will not be affected by these positional changes and we see it as a very positive move for the company.

“It has been a fantastic 18-24 months for Dudley’s Aluminium, and we are looking ahead to working closely with our stakeholders and completing some exciting new projects in the coming months.”

Dudley’s Aluminium recently completed a landmark £2.2 million contract to support the construction of Swansea University’s new Bay Campus. The company manufactured and installed curtain walling and glazing across the 65-acre site. Dudley’s also completed a £800k contract to provide aluminium glazing at the new Cardiff University Business School.
