GGF’s Brexit ready
October 2019

The Glass and Glazing Federation says its Brexit Readiness Campaign is now well underway following its recent £50,000 government grant, and has now unveiled its new GGF Brexit Hub as well as producing a new guidance brochure and implementing digital marketing including social media and search engine marketing.

The new “Brexit Hub” on the GGF website  is entirely free and available to members and non-members, with no log-ins required.  It consists of key information, expert opinions, potential scenarios and the latest news on the issues affecting the industry, as and when the UK exits the European Union.

The GGF has produced a 16 page Brexit information and guidance brochure this is being distributed to thousands of companies in the industry:

The Federation says that as it receives relevant information from its experts in technical meetings, standards organisations and government departments, it will cascade information in its “Members First” newsletter, via updates on the Brexit Hub and GGF news pages, through information and discussions at its regional and technical group meetings and via social media and trade titles.

GGF managing director Steve Rice said: “Though Brexit may happen in the next few months, the implications of the withdrawal from the EU and further changes, are likely to continue for a far longer period.

“The GGF is doing its utmost to help our industry through this significant period of change in the trading environment. Our technical experts are involved in regular discussions with standards committees and Government departments to ensure companies are given the best possible advice.”
