EMMEGI has become the sole machinery partner of Cork-based aluminium systems house AMS, following a relationship  more than a decade.

The aluminium profile extruder, powder coater and sheet metal and trade frame fabricator bought its first Emmegi machine in 2006 and since then Emmegi has gone on to equip its entire factory with a range of machining centres, saws, end millers, crimpers and factory ancillary equipment. 

This includes two Phantomatic T4As and one Comet T6 machining centres and several double head electronic saws. 

During that time, AMS has expanded into its 254,000 sq ft facility and invested in developing the window, door and curtain walling systems which are used in both commercial and residential projects in Ireland and internationally. The company now employs more than 200 people and is focused not just on manufacturing but on providing a specialised design service which enables customers to bring even the most challenging concepts to fruition.

AMS fabrication manager Damien Farrelly said: “We know that the Emmegi team will take care of us and our customers – not just during the initial buying and installation process but right through to technical support and servicing.

“We offer our customers a complete, turnkey solution from extrusion to fabrication, and one of our key strengths is that we have total control over all the processes, so we need to know that our fabrication machinery is top quality and that we have all the service and maintenance back up we need from highly skilled engineers.”
