UAP Group acquires Intelligent Hardware
Door Hardware manufacturer UAP Group on October 14th announced it has completed the acquisition of Intelligent Hardware Ltd, the latest in a number of acquisitions in recent years, along with the promise of more to come in the next two years.
The purchase of the Yorkshire-based door hardware distributor is the first major move in the expansion plans promised by UAP following last year’s £20million management buy-out in partnership with private equity firm Maven Capital to ‘take the company to a new level’
It also said the investment would further support growth plans for its existing brands including Fullex, which it had acquired the year before.
Further details of the latest move are expected in the near future but the group yesterday posted on social media: “This is the first in a series of planned acquisitions over the next two years. This acquisition increases the UAP Group product range and market penetration.”
As well as the Fullex locks and cylinders brand, the group now also includes Doormaster door hardware, Nanocoast stainless steel and Salamander fire rated products.
