Robin Baker heads new team for Aperture
October 2019

Aperture, the vehicle formed for the acquisition of Synseal from administration, has announced the appointment of former Masonite UK MD Robin Baker as managing director, heading a team of new and recent senior appointments to lead the new group.

He takes the newly-created MD position while retaining the role with its Calibre Doors and Norvik new build businesses.

Steve Halford, formerly of Crystal Clear Group, Tuffx Conservatory Roof Glass and Ultraframe, joins the team as Business Development Director, while Helen Tunnicliffe, previously of Saint-Gobain, becomes Head of Marketing. Heading up HR is Carolyn Reed with previous roles in Tunstall Group and Hastings Direct.

Daniel Cox is Procurement Manager and Elliott Dawson is the Commercial Manager responsible for the Social Housing & Contracting Sector.

The announcement of the roles follows last month’s departure by Sales & Marketing Director Andy Jones to head Victorian Sliders.

Aperture Group CEO Matthew Mycock said of the new line-up: “The new team has expertise across all areas of business and provides us with the strong foundation we need to take Aperture and our customers on to the next level.

“Every member of the team brings something unique to the business and collectively they are a customer-centric force to be reckoned with. I am confident that with this new team now fully embedded, we are on track to be a robust contender in the window, door and conservatory markets and in the New Build, Home Improvement and Export markets.”
