Fenster Fabrications has helped transform a family’s home as part of Alan Titchmarsh’s home improvement show Love Your Home and Garden.

The Torquay firm contributed one of its Uni_Slide sliding doors for an episode that focused on the Seeserrun family from Eltham, South East London. Manisha and Rajeev have a nine-year-old son Aryan, who has had dystonic quadriplegic cerebral palsy which means he’s permanently confined to a bulky wheelchair, and requires round-the-clock care.

The couple’s cramped 1930s semi made it extremely difficult for Aryan to get around, and virtually impossible for him to access the garden.

The Love Your Home and Garden team responded by transforming the garden to be fully wheelchair accessible, revamped the kitchen and living room areas to be open-plan, and used the stylish product to link the two spaces together.

Üni_Slide can achieve frame sightlines as slim as 20mm, and a slim central interlock, while being able to support sliding panels of up to 3m high and 2.2m wide.
