Eight Winkhaus AV2-E automatic locks are providing uprated security and added convenience for residents of a Bolton apartment complex where new composite entrance doors have been installed.
The new Solidor Milano composite doors were installed by Winkhaus customer Fenster Trade Frames at the Thomasson Court Apartments. Replacing original rotting and insecure timber doors, the new ones are finished in Anthracite Grey with 1,800mm brushed stainless steel pull bar handles and Stipolyte/Obscure glass.
Fenster Trade Frames managing director Andy Dempsey said they specified the Winkhaus AV2-E locks… “because we have used them for several years now and are really happy with the product.
“This type of lock worked well for Thomasson Court Apartments, as the slam- shut capability ensures the door is very secure, yet it can be electronically opened using the key fobs, touch-free pads and the intercom. This provides excellent convenience in a communal property,” says Andy.
For Anoop Seera, a Director of Thomasson Court, the main requirements when selecting the new doors were straightforward; the doors had be very secure, look secure and also be interoperable with electronic access systems so that secure fobs could be used instead of traditional keys.
“The selection of Solidor was therefore a relatively simple one as Fenster know Solidor products well and I chose Fenster as they were able to assure me that the vision I had for Thomasson Court could be realised, which ultimately has happened.”
