Restrictors from JACKLOC have been specified for a luxury hotel under construction on The Palm in Dubai.
The Leicestershire firm is supplying 400 of its Queen’s Award-winning MK2 key-lockable restrictors for the W Hotel, which is due to open in March with more than 350 rooms including 58 suites with views across the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline.
“It’s fantastic to see Jackloc specified for yet another building in the United Arab Emirates and another luxury hotel,” said founder and director Emma Wells. “The W Hotel will be a stand-out feature on the iconic Palm and we’re proud to play our part in ensuring guest safety through our industry-leading range of universal window restrictors.”
The W Hotel will join a list of residential and commercial buildings across the Middle East which feature Jackloc restrictors, including Abu Dhabi’s largest private hospital as well as the five-star Sheraton Hotel in Dohuk, Iraq.
“With a tested and proven product range, made in Britain, it’s not hard to see why Jackloc is setting the standard for window safety in markets outside of the UK,” added Judith Burrows, fellow Jackloc Director and sister to Emma. “We’re delighted that W Hotel and its owners Marriott International are joining with other leading global organisations in seeing the importance of improving window safety, and supporting us in our mission to drastically reduce the risk of injuries and fatalities caused by falls from windows.”
