Emmegi and Elumatec owner acquires Camäleon

Cifin Group, owner of a number of manufacturing companies including Eliumatec and Emmegi, has signed to buy shares equal to 100% of the share capital of CAMäleon Produktionsautomatisierung GmbH of Dettenhausen, Germany.

CAMäleon, with sales around EUR 750,000, specialises in the development and distribution of software for multi-axis machining centres under the Puma System brand.

Valter Caiumi, President of Cifin Group, said: "This acquisition represents an important strategic step that will widen the software portfolio of the Group to the sector of machining centres for industrial applications. Under Cifin Group, Puma products will boost their growth opportunities and development in new industrial sectors, more and more oriented to the integration of the digital technologies in the manufacturing processes, to the Industry 4.0 and to the intelligent factory.”

Cifin Group, claimed to be world leader in the design and manufacturing of machining systems for aluminium, PVC, steel profiles and glasses, has a total workforce of about 1,200 with a total turnover of about EUR 230 million in 2015.

The Group operates worldwide under the brands elumatec, elusoft, Emmegi, Emmegisoft, Tekna, Keraglass and Voilàp, with seven production plants, in Italy, Germany, in Bosnia-Herzegovina and China and a network of around 40 commercial branches.
