Riba approval

 

Edgetech has received Riba approval for its CPD (Continuous Professional Development) presentation.

Roland Sarin, specification sales manager at Edgetech, said: “Edgetech has had a presence in the architectural sector for some time now with our products being used in some of the most prestigious projects around the world, but we want to be more proactive in getting our message to this particular market.

“As part of a wider campaign to raise awareness of the range of Edgetech warm edge technologies (WETs), the CPD titled ‘Insulated Glass Unit Spacer Systems and Warm Edge Technology’ has now gained full approval. The 45-minute presentation can be delivered in architectural practices, clients’ offices or at Edgetech’s impressive manufacturing facility in Coventry.”

Architects will learn about Edgetech and the historical development of insulated glass units, and receive an introduction to WET, an overview of current WETs in the market and the anatomy of warm edge technology.

“This next generation of spacer is made of a flexible foam material and has proved so popular among architects to date because it offers the best thermal performance while improving the aesthetics of the unit within the window,” Roland said. “It offers better sightlines in any material, which is particularly beneficial in projects using timber or aluminium windows. Other benefits include reduced condensation and improved durability.”
