Communal door licence
This ‘Police Preferred Specification’ status was achieved on its award-winning Total Glass high-security communal entrance door, which is designed specifically for multiple occupancy residential properties in the social housing sector. The Liverpool-based fabricator believes this means it can now offer the most highly accredited aluminium communal entrance door on the UK market. Since its launch last year, this successful product has been widely specified by social housing professionals across the UK and was named Product/Innovation of the Year in the Annual Builder & Engineer Awards 2010. “As far as we’re aware, our Total Glass communal entrance door is currently the most-accredited door of its type. Client feedback shows that it is meeting a strong market need for a robust, yet contemporary-looking door that can withstand the toughest locations,” Frank Deary, Total Group managing director, said. Manufactured to BSI ISO 9001 quality specifications, the door also conforms to BS PAS 23-1:1999 and BS PAS 24-1:2007 standards of cycle test and enhanced security performance.
