Avocet demonstrated its product portfolio at the FIT Show with visitors seeing everything from tried, tested and trusted favourites like ABS and Pioneer Plus, to demonstrations of new products like the AIM Forensic Alarm System and Avocet Intelligent Restrictor (AIR).

Rob I’Anson, sales director of Avocet’s window and door hardware division, said: “We had a great stand in a great location and the overriding feedback we got was that people sometimes forget just how strong our product offering is.”

Visitors to Avocet’s stand were given the opportunity to check out the Brighouse company’s Euro cylinder range, which features the 1 star kitemark Pioneer Plus, ABS 3 star Diamond grade lock, and the ATK high security range, which has just been expanded to include a new thumbturn option.

AIR, which is designed to restrict doors in any open angle position with a simple lift of a handle, caught the attention of a number of manufacturers, in particular those offering French doors, and AIM, a security system that comprises a traditional door chain married to a housing with a high-decibel alarm and a canister of traceable DNA forensic spray.

Rob I’Anson concluded: "It really was an extremely positive three days and we are confident that a significant numbers of the leads we gained at the show will be turned into business gains in the very near future.”
