Fensterbau’s fixed for June
March 2020

Fensterbau organisers have been quick to set a new date for the 2020 show in the wake of last week’s announcement that it was to be postponed from later this month in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Organiser NürnbergMesse said in a statement issued yesterday (Mar 9): “In view of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking into account the principles for risk assessment of major events adopted by the crisis management group of the German government and the current recommendation of the Bavarian State Government for international exhibitions, NürnbergMesse has decided to postpone Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk 2020 to Tuesday, 16 June until Friday, 19 June 2020.”

It continues that the biennial event will return to its usual March slot for 2022.

Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse, added: “We are pleased about the high level of commitment in the industry - after intensive deliberations and numerous positive discussions with national and international customers, we have chosen the new date in June.

Fensterbau Director Elke Harreiß added: "Postponing Fensterbau Frontale was necessary for this important industry meeting place to be held in 2020 - although with special challenges. After all, maintaining and expanding business relations remain more than important in turbulent times like these. What is decisive now is that the industry stands together and tries to make the best out of this situation!”
