Horsforth Mill
March 2019

Horsforth Mill in Leeds, said once to have been the largest textile mill in the north of the England, has been turned into a development of 89 luxury apartments by Leeds-based ALPHA ALUMINIUM using Jack Aluminium Systems.

The £11m project used the JCW curtain walling system and the TW70 window system throughout the two-year restoration, as well as the TD68 aluminium thermal door.
Marius Miotk, project manager at Alpha Aluminium, said: “Horsforth Mill was a really interesting development. We worked closely with Jack Aluminium during the 60-week project, to transform the old mill and sensitively restore it. Whenever we order aluminium from Jack Aluminium, the process is always straightforward and that’s what we need when we’ve got deadlines to meet.”

Andy Short at Jack Aluminium Systems added: “This was a fascinating restoration project. Floor by floor, this amazing building was brought back to life. Alpha has been a customer of ours for a very long time and it was great to team up with them on this project. As well as measuring and quoting for materials, we organised delivery to suit project timescales and fit in with the work on the ground.”
