FK Group buys Premo

FK Group, the £100million-plus off-site building envelope provider, has purchased aluminium fabricator Premo Fabrications for an undisclosed sum in a move the buyer says will support its goal to be ‘at the forefront of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC)’.

FK said in a statement: “Increasingly our clients are looking for evidence of sustainability within our supply chain and off-site manufacturing is key to this. We have worked with the team at Premo Fabrications for many years on many prestigious projects and have shared visions. We will continue to work with other suppliers as the Premo business will run autonomously.

“We will not be exclusively working with Premo in this area and we will continue to work with other suppliers to meet our client’s requirements.”

The group adds that Steve Hall, MD of FK Construction, will take on a new strategic role, alongside the Executive Board: “assisting the business with its strategy and direction to ensure we remain leaders in innovation.”

Among other changes, the board welcomes Matt Lang and Richard Robinson, who will sit alongside Paul Bentley MD, Matt Barker FD and Chief Executive Francis Keenan.
