Customade sells Bifold Shop door retailer

Customade Group has sold its £3million-sales domestic aluminium door supplier Bifold Shop for an undisclosed sum to existing Bifold Shop director Damon Smith, and Alan and Sally Stanway of JJS Construction, a long-standing sub-contract installation partner.

The group says the decision follows a strategic review of the group’s operations, and will enable it to focus on its core B2B business, supplying to the trade only.

Bifold Shop will now become a trade customer of the group via an ongoing supply agreement.

John Adams, customer service director at Customade Group, said “Bifold Shop has grown year on year for the last five years and is now a leading supplier in the B2C market. As a trade sales only group, it was the right time for us to sell this thriving business to allow the new management team to focus more fully on servicing its growing trade customer base.”

Bifold Shop will relocate from Stonehouse, Gloucester to JJS’s premises in Cheltenham. The existing Bifold Shop team are all staying in their current roles.
