Having made its official debut at the school building event, BSEC 2010, Blyweert Beaufort Aluminium is building on its new concept in aluminium systems that combines product innovation, integrated design and bioclimatic principles.
The launch of the new company name marked the next stage in Beaufort’s development as part of the Blyweert Group, a leading European aluminium systems suppliers. It also reflects the integration of Blyweert and Beaufort aluminium product lines, creating two distinct brands for the UK market – the Blyweert Range for the architectural market and the Beaufort Range for residential and light commercial applications.
Blyweert Beaufort Aluminium offers sustainable solutions for all market sectors, including healthcare, education, leisure, retail, residential and social housing.
The Blyweert Range is specifically designed to meet the demands of the commercial and architectural sectors and encompasses a variety of thermally enhanced commercial window, door, screening and façade systems. Among the products in the range is the LPS1175 (SR2) commercial door – the first aluminium commercial doorset to be fully accredited to the Building Research Establishment’s LPS1175 (Security Rating 2).
The range also includes Kratos, a UK designed high-rise aluminium curtain walling system. Setting itself as the highest performing structural system available on the market to date, Kratos gives specifiers the flexibility and confidence to create impressive and functional high-rise facades. Kratos is complemented by Krios, a versatile and thermally efficient aluminium solution for shop fronts, entrances and ground floor framing. Additional products within the range include Triton HI, a fully integrated, high insulation window and door system and Notus, a high performance, multi-track Sliding Door system.
The Beaufort Range provides a portfolio of window systems, entrance doors and folding sliding doors for the residential and light commercial sectors. All products have been rigorously tested to surpass the latest performance criteria, British Standards and Building Regulations. The tried and tested range includes residential casements, fully reversible windows, tilt before turn windows and a light to medium duty window walling system. The system’s many accreditations include an A rating to BFRC’s Window Energy Rating Scheme, an A rating to BRE’s Green Guide and Level 4 for the Code for Sustainable Homes. These are coupled with Secured By Design, BBA and Kitemark certification, making it the industry’s most comprehensive and highly accredited product range.
