Reynaers Russian Revolution

 

Reynaers Aluminium has provided high quality bespoke solutions for the striking Avilon Plaza building– in the Russian capital, Moscow. Located a few kilometres southeast of the city centre, the iconic building gives the impression it has been carved from a single giant block.
 
The massive cube shaped structure, encompassing 21 floors and a total floor space of nearly 37,000m², incorporates specified Reynaers system solutions to help achieve the unique design, featuring the recessed front facade with bay window.
 
Three different facade systems were needed to help achieve the very specific exterior finish. Reynaers CW 86-EF, CW 50-SC and CW 50 were seen as the ideal choices, offering both style and functionality.
 
The windows and doors were required to provide safety, security, thermal insulation and obviously provide light and air where necessary. With a helicopter landing platform located on the roof of the building, it was also essential for Reynaers to meet the high sound insulation requirements. Therefore Reynaers CS 77 system was specified and used.
 
Having such a uniquely designed building meant that the inside and outside corners of the walls required special attention, however Reynaers systems are versatile and simple to install, even in challenging circumstances or environments.
