Buckley and Hearn out in latest GGF rout
July 2019

The Glass and Glazing Federation yesterday announced that its Chief Exec and MD Kevin Buckley and Head of Membership Richard Hearn are both ‘no longer employed by the Federation’.

It goes on to say that Steve Rice, its Director of Technical Affairs is promoted to the role of MD with immediate effect.

President John Agnew said in a statement: “The strategic decision to restructure was unanimously agreed by the GGF Board and is designed to bring the internal GGF departments closer together with a greater focus on the technical side of the Federation.

“…With many challenges ahead for our Members and the industry, it is essential for the GGF to be fully ready and equipped for the forthcoming major regulatory and legislative changes. In view of the current climate, the GGF needs to reinforce its technical side and provide Members with the support they need.”

Without identifying the departing two by name, he continued: “As part of the restructure, the Group Chief Executive and Head of Membership are no longer employed by the Federation. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank both for their work at the GGF and I wish them every success in the future.”

The role of MD had been integrated with that of CEO after the departure of Shaun McAllister last year only five months after takin up the role and that itself came as the latest in a succession of high-level departures, including CEO Phil Pluck and prior to that, President Alan Burgess and CEO Nigel Rees.
