Alan Brayley, managing director of aluminium fabricator/installer AB GLASS, has been announced as the winner of the business leader of the year award at the Welsh Veteran Awards, which celebrate the achievements of Armed Forces veterans who have made the transition from the military to civilian life.
He had served in the Royal Regiment of Wales and Royal Welsh for 20 years, finishing his military career as a Sergeant Major. AB Glass has employed many ex-service personnel since its inception nearly 30 years ago.
Alan said: “This award just shows how successful you can be when you have had a background in the Forces. I truly believe that my time in the Army and the skills and experience that I developed in the Forces has made a significant contribution to my success in business. I’m incredibly proud of AB Glass and the hard work that myself and everyone who works with us puts into the business.”
The Welsh Veteran Awards are run in association with ABF The Soldiers’ Charity - the national charity of the British Army, now in its 75th year, which provides financial and practical support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate family.
