Graeme and Keith mark a charity decade with Land’s End lap of honour
July 2015

What better way to mark the tenth anniversary of the GM Fundraising ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End …than to do it all over again!

Graeme Bailey and Keith Aspinall from Business Micros were members of the very first GM team which rode the 975 miles in 2005 to raise money for the Hope House Children’s Hospice and decided to mark the milestone with a 975-mile lap of honour, this time with just their wives and their dogs for support.

Graeme said: “We’ve both ridden in all of the GM cycle challenges since 2005 – including the Hope 66, Coast to Coast and Rome to Home events and raised a huge amount for charity in the process. Before we hang up our spokes, we decided to set ourselves just one more challenge and chose the John O’Groats to Land’s End trip because it held such special memories.”

This time around Graeme and Keith completed the trip just for fun and even managed to take a day off their previous time reaching Land’s End in 12 days.

Keith said: “It was a great experience with our wives providing the support in their very own mini camper van and even our dogs coming along for the ride. Ten years on, it gave us a chance to relive some of the memories from the many GM Fundraising trips and reflect on all the adventures we’ve had along the way.”
