EAG appointed by McLaren in EC1

McLaren Construction has appointed ENGLISH ARCHITECTURAL GLAZING as specialist glazing sub-contractor to provide a complete envelope cladding solution incorporating high performance double glazed windows with Portland stone infill, as part of the multi million pound 160 Aldersgate development in London EC1.

The refurbishment, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, will deliver an uplift on the existing area through the addition of an extra storey to achieve BREEAM 2014 – Excellent rated office space. Replacement of the existing Aldersgate façade to give the building new identity and dramatically reconfigure the building’s interior floor space and free-up roof space for terraces. Schueco curtain wall and windows, Portland stone, atria roof and walling along with GRC brick slip panels all form part of this complex envelope package valued at over £8 m for McLaren.
