Window boost

Aluminium sash window manufacturer Clearview Windows has seen sales rise by a 200% in 2011 compared to the previous year.

Managing director Stuart Braid attributes the growth to the company’s flagship energy efficient Alumatherm sash window, which is ‘C’ rated, incorporating EcoClear sealed units from Solaglas. Alumatherm was launched in October 2010 to comply with the revised Building Regulations.

Stuart Braid said: “We switched to Solaglas sealed units in October 2010. By using EcoClear we can offer our customers an energy efficient sash window made from aluminium that gives us the edge with discerning customers. Our turnover has doubled in the year to October 2011. Alumatherm boasts the slimmest of profiles, mirroring original timber sash windows, and it lets more light in compared to bulky modern plastic frames. It’s gone down a storm with customers and planners alike. One customer remarked he’d waited for eight years for the right product to come onto the market – and found it with Alumatherm.

“We prefer to buy from well-run companies that keep their promises. Solaglas is one of our preferred suppliers, coming top in quarterly supplier audits. The company delivers on time, with ‘Plain English’ paperwork and thorough technical back-up. The aim is to make everything as easy as possible for its customers and I have to say Solaglas succeeds. It means we can offer our customers a first-class product and service which has resulted in our significant sales growth.”
