Over 50million metres of spacer bar a year to 22 countries around the world – THERMOSEAL officially gained royal recognition for its achievements at a ceremony this week when it was presented with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2017.
Staff and guests gathered at the company’s Wigan factory to see the Queen’s representative, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mr Warren J Smith KStJ JP, present the award.
Thermoseal was one of only four companies in the industry this year to gain a Queen’s Award and the Lord-Lieutenant told guests that it is one of only 102 companies throughout the UK to receive the award.
The awards were first announced earlier this year http://www.the-glazine.com/archive/glaz748.html when MD Gwain Paterson ( pictured receiving the award from the Lord-Lieutenant) said the company now manufactures over 50% of the products it supplies, as opposed to under 5% in 2008, and in the last year has begun to make its mark in export markets.
