KÖMMERLING has extended its PVCu/aluminium hybrid offering with a variant on its newly-launched System 76 platform using the same Aluclip technology as on its existing C70 and O70 Gold hybrid systems and with a thermal insulation of Uf value of 1.2 W/(m2K) as standard.

The flush exterior design of AluClip Pro, which uses the external aluminium section as a means of reinforcing, gives a Uf value of 1.1 W/(m2K) as standard. When combined with the pre-foamed proEnergyTec profiles, a Uw value of 0.69 W/(m2K) can be achieved, within the requirements of Passivhaus.

The system is offered with a range of foiled finishes to the internal face or one of a number of proCoverTec through rebate finishes. Glazing options up to 48mm, including a number of acoustic glass units, can be accommodated. 
Head of sales and marketing Kevin Warner said: “The hybrid options that we can now offer are already opening up opportunities in the residential and commercial markets.”
