New facilities for a two-fold output increase
April 2016

Window, door and conservatory fabricator, Direct Trade, has invested £118K in a range of new machinery from elumatecas part of an expansion to its aluminium production facility at its Doncaster site.

"Demand for our existing and new aluminium products continues to grow at pace" said Danny Colton, General Manager, Direct Trade. "This investment in our plant means that we can respond to growing demand.”

After discussing Direct Trade's objectives, elumatec's Technical Sales Manager, Andrew Robson recommended the most suitable machinery package. Direct Trade has always invested in state of the art equipment, high level output both in speed and quality being critical. Elumatec's DG104 e355-6m double mitre saw, with label printer, provides fast cutting with no length calculations or correction values necessary. A SBZ122/64 CNC machine, with a power torque spindle can machine thick-walled profiles and lengths up to 7.05m and has automatic clamp positioning.

A TS161/21 bead saw and an EMA measuring system for highly accurate cutting were also purchased. The back of the bead saw is adjustable, allowing optimum use of the saw blade for wide and flat profiles. Direct Trade also invested in eluCad software which allows the machinery to be programmed from computers in the office.

"Clearly 2016 is going to be an exciting year for Direct Trade, and for its customers"said Andrew Robson"Our aim at elumatec is to assist our clients by ensuring that our machinery stays one step ahead of the demand for high quality new products and customer service."

Direct Trade’s aluminium offering now includes Smart’s Alitherm & Heritage ranges.
