A clear choice
April 2016

Planibel Clearsight anti-reflective glass is the latest addition to the portfolio of AGC. Its anti-reflective coating helps to minimise glare while reducing light reflection in applications such as retail and display applications where clear visibility is a prime consideration.

Conventional float glass used in shop windows and displays typically has a visible light reflection of 8%. AGC’s Planibel Clearsight features a coating applied to both surfaces, reducing light reflection on the surface to 0.8%. This renders the pane of glass nearly invisible, offering greater contrast for any items displayed behind it. In addition, AGC’s magnetron sputtering technology offers a durable coating suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

Planibel Clearsight is also said to deliver enhanced light transmission which, when used in façades, allows more light to enter a building and create improved aesthetics. It can be laminated and used in insulating glazing units.
