Open day
On Friday 4th June 2010 Warwickshire-based contractor, Alumet Systems, will be hosting a sustainability open day at its headquarters in Southam.
Previous guests at Alumet's annual summer open day include His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent. This year the company will be showcasing its efforts in the fields of sustainability and the environment. TV botanist Dr David Bellamy OBE will be this year's special guest for the day, and will open the company's newly developed garden area.
The day will feature a Farmer’s Market style collection of stalls, each detailing different services, products and information relating to environmental issues. Stalls will include such areas as:
Seminars – Organisations such as the Carbon Trust will be present to advise on how you can become more environmentally friendly and in turn save money.
Product showcase – The latest renewable technologies
Educational games – A range of interactive stalls designed to increase environmental awareness
Food and drink – A range of organic and local food, beer and wine
Guests will also be able to take a tour of Alumet's facilities and witness how the company has dramatically invested in increasing its sustainability credentials.
The Open Day will run from midday and guests can enjoy a buffet and drinks. There is no charge to attend and everyone is welcome including business representatives and members of the public.
