New structure for Glasstec

Glasstec 2010 will offer exhibitors and visitors a comprehensively revised structure.

Glasstec will, in future promote itself under the new sub-heading: “Glass Production – Processing – Products”. As part of the new concept, Glasstec will also be streamlined and be one day less. This meets the wishes voiced by numerous exhibitors. Glasstec 2010 will now also be catering to a new sector that has seen particularly dynamic development in recent times, solar production technology.

“Solarpeq – International Trade Fair for Solar Production Equipment“ is open to all companies offering process engineering/production equipment for thin film and crystalline photovoltaics – be it machinery and equipment for the production of solar applications or suppliers of components/raw materials. Solarpeq takes place at the same time as Glasstec 2010 and will be held in Hall 14, next to the East Entrance.

“Over the last two to three years we have seen many exhibitors at Glasstec founding their own corporate divisions for solar production technology. With Solarpeq we now offer these customers a dedicated platform and all other companies in this sector the unique opportunity to benefit from the established international structures at Glasstec”, said Joachim Schäfer, managing director at Messe Düsseldorf.

The hall concept at Glasstec 2010 will not only be extended with the launch of Solarpeq but also structured more clearly. Visitors to the next Glasstec will find the glazier trade plus the special glass art show at the glazier trade centre in its own complex in Hall 7, next to the North Entrance. Complementing this range offered by exhibitors is the day for skilled tradesmen with a supporting programme specially tailored to their needs.

Glasstec 2010 and Solarpeq 2010 will be held from Tuesday, 28th September to Friday, 1st October.
