H&S standard achieved

Warwickshire-based contractor Alumet received CHAS accreditation in April.

CHAS is the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme and benchmarks the company’s high standards of health and safety across the business. This is the first time the company has achieved this standard and complements the company’s recent success with SafeContractor, ContractorPlus and Achilles accreditations.

Frances Eatough, Alumet’s health and safety manager said: “CHAS is the fourth H&S standard we’ve achieved so far in 2010 along with SafeContractor, ContractorPlus and Achilles. These accolades are the culmination of months of hard work over the past year where we have developed our standards of health and safety to become leaders in the industry.”

Alumet has produced buildings across the UK ranging from commercial properties to hospitals, colleges and residential units.
