Euro Windows’ win

Euro Windows has won a top award for its work in refurbishing a housing estate in London – and has praised systems designer Sapa Building Systems for its ‘crucial’ contribution to the project.

Euro Windows, main contractors The Apollo Group, and the client London Borough of Lambeth shared the honours as joint winners of the Project of the Year in LHC’s Annual Awards competition, aimed at promoting the work of LHC’s appointed companies and illustrating the advantages of an LHC supply chain in ensuring members achieve government standards for compliance, efficiency, quality and sustainability.

Sapa supplied aluminium windows and doors systems for Euro Windows’ contract with the LHC’s scheme at Westbury Estate for Lambeth Borough Council, using Sapa’s Monaframe vertical sliding-sash windows along with Dualframe casement and fully reversible windows and doors systems.

Adding value as a ‘one stop shop’ Sapa were able to supply all the products necessary to meet the required criteria of functionality and design.

“Our double glazed sliding windows improved thermal insulation for residents on the estate, helped reduce wind noise and were suitable for use with the slim balconies on the buildings,” said Liam Hanson, specification manager, Sapa Building Systems.

“Winning this award was a great achievement for Euro Windows and The Apollo Group, and Sapa had ‘all the tools in the tool bag’, to provide the necessary products, cutting out any need to use different companies,” said Liam.

“The support we received from Sapa was crucial to us in the delivery of this project,” said Euro Windows business development manager Neil Hall. “Sapa products were key in the supply chain, and being fully tested and approved to the required standard, enabled us to give our client peace of mind with the products being used.”
