Fire protection portfolio
Proven in use and with systems designed for both external and internal installations, the Schueco fire protection portfolio contains a reliable and cost-effective solution for every application.
Schueco single and double fire resistant doors and screens can be specified with either a 30, 60 or 90-minute integrity and insulation rating and, like every system in the Schueco fire-protection range, are fully tested according to BS EN 1364 and 1634. Suitable for inside or outside use, the 30 and 60 minute systems have identical profiles to maintain the same sight lines throughout a building.
Schueco fire-resisting doors and windows may be integrated into the company's fire-protection facade systems to provide 30-minute integrity. These 50 mm and 60 mm face-width facade systems offer a range of design features including facetted elevations and mono-pitch or gable roof structures and may be linked seamlessly to the company’s standard facades. A version which can be fixed directly to a steel sub-structure is also available.
Schueco also offers natural smoke and heat exhaust system windows – known as SHEVS – tested to EN 12101-2. These automatically opening windows help provide additional time for people to escape by evacuating smoke and heat from a fire. Fitted to vertical facades or in roofs, SHEVS windows can also be used for internal climate control.
Both inward- and outward-opening Schueco SHEVS windows may now be specified with Schueco Tiptronic concealed motors which allow the windows to provide an 800mm wide opening in less than 60 seconds.
Schueco’s side hung fire window offers 30-minute integrity and insulation and a concealed closer device can be linked to a fire alarm system. It can also provide a U-value as low as 1.8 W/m²K.
