Fast-fit hardware

Kenrick has unveiled a ‘fast fit’ version of its Centurion window shootbolt for outward opening casement windows.

Now developed as a ‘non crop’ system, using a corner keep with a cam, the Fast-Fit Centurion has been engineered to provide a reliable, adaptable and cost effective locking solution.

Each sash benefits from a robust unhanded die-cast central gearbox (20mm or 22mm backset) with extended actuator arms. The arms accommodate an adjustable mushroom cam close to the gearbox. The cam moves in opposing directions to provide adequate compression and security at the centre of the window.

The actuator also incorporates one of the seven steel shootbolt rods. The return of the rod is positioned at the corner of the sash and is held in place with a steel cover plate. On the frame side, a corner keep is fitted on each side and two mushroom keeps are fitted centrally.

The Fast-Fit Centurion system, which will require no more than eight fixing points for an average sash, also exceeds the security requirements of BS7950 and grade 4 (severe) corrosion requirements of BS1670.
