Door makes an entrance

The Total Glass high-security aluminium communal entrance door – attracting interest from the social housing sector – is manufactured from heavy-gauge aluminium, and is specially-designed for its role in protecting residents and properties from unauthorised access, while helping to regenerate housing estates and transform communities across the UK.

Shortlisted as Product of the Year in the Housing Excellence Awards 2010, the door has already been extremely well-received by the social housing professionals. Liverpool Mutual Homes is currently installing 1,500 doors as part of its £multi-million property refurbishment scheme throughout the city.

Capable of withstanding the toughest inner-city locations, the doors are available with a choice of locking systems – secure electronic solenoid bolt locks linking to video and entry phone systems or electro magnetic locks.

Single, double or combination frames can be created to suit client requirements, while customised glazing options are also available to enhance the external appearance and aesthetics of buildings for a smart, contemporary look.

Thermal efficiency is much improved due to the door’s thermally-broken construction, which can achieve low U-values depending on glass specification.
