Sapa and BFRC pilot new scheme

Sapa is piloting the new BFRC Scheme for Systems’ Companies within the aluminium sector.

BFRC has been in business since early 2000 and has been issuing Licences since 2005. It has more than 2,000 Licences in place which are backed up by an extensive Authorised Retailer Scheme which is growing rapidly.

The Scheme extends the use of the BFRC Detailed Energy and Simplified Energy Licences to Systems’ Companies that can then cascade their Licences down to their Fabricators, with the scope for each Licence being held by the Systems’ Company.

Charges have been set to make the scheme affordable for fabricators, both large and small, with BFRC systems in place to enable BFRC to know that the consumer is getting the right product, marked in the correct way.
