Competitively high performing

High performing hardware at a competitive price is Cotswold’s key to success in the aluminium market, says MD, Iain Morgan.

The success of Cotswold Architectural Products in the aluminium market continues to go from strength to strength and our high quality friction stays are now the preferred choice of some of the world’s leading aluminium systems companies and hardware distributors.

Many of the hinges used in the aluminium market are heavy duty products designed for commercial projects, where durability and reliability are of even greater importance than in domestic applications. We believe Cotswold’s success in this demanding sector reflects our ability to supply high performing hardware at a highly competitive price – whatever the application – and to be willing and able to develop bespoke solutions for our customers if required.

In addressing the needs of this market we have expanded and enhanced our Heavy Duty (HD) range. We can now offer all types of friction stay opening in a heavy duty option and new options and improvements have also increased the maximum window sizes for commercial aluminium contracts. In addition to developments in heavy duty hinges, we recently launched a Parallel Opening Stay, which has proved a massive international hit with industry-leading names like European hardware suppliers Giesse Group in Italy and West Midlands based ATB Systems.

Our team has over 35 years of experience in the design and manufacture of friction stays, and we pride ourselves on purchasing the best quality materials at the best prices so we can keep costs down without compromising quality. Cotswold has also achieved the prestigious Lloyds certification, only awarded to companies that adopt and work to an approved standard, and our QMS policies and procedures are independently assessed on a regular basis.

With a range of friction stays that meet the relevant British Standards, are BBA approved, and have CE Marking where required, aluminium systems houses can have complete confidence in Cotswold’s product performance. As well our own accreditations, many systems companies have successfully put our products through their paces as part of their own testing process, and so pass on the benefits of a fully tested product to their customers.

While many aluminium contracts are in the commercial sector, the number of aluminium windows sold in the domestic market is on the increase. This market clearly offers significant opportunities for Cotswold and our customers and we will continue to provide the products and support you need to maximise this exciting potential.
