Independence for Schüco UK

Schüco International has announced that from 1st January 2010 its UK branch will become an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary company – Schüco UK.

The management of Schüco UK believes that as an independent fully operational company, it will be better placed to adapt its business practices to fulfill the specific requirements of the UK and Irish construction markets. It will also enable it to improve its service offering, product range and commercial strategy.

As a result, the change in status – which comes into effect on the 25th anniversary of Schüco’s operations in the UK – is seen as a logical and welcome conclusion to what has been a gradual process of increasing functional independence from Schüco International over the last five years, the company claimed recently.

Schüco’s UK management team will remain in place and handle the transition to ensure that the day-to-day business of the company remains unaffected.

All the assets and undertakings of the UK branch will be transferred to Schüco UK, so that from 1st January 2010, it will have an opening balance sheet in excess of £20 million.
