Interbuild debut for vent system
Reynaers Aluminium displayed part of their extensive range of window and door systems at Interbuild 2009 and introduced two new products designed to improve ventilation.
While the current emphasis on energy saving has highlighted the need for effective insulation, this can occur at the expense of good ventilation, which can heighten the risk of condensation. To counter this, Reynaers have developed Ventalis, a controllable trickle ventilator and Airmax, a parallel opening window, both of which can be incorporated into their standard window, door and curtain walling ranges.
Ventalis is an intelligent unit which automatically opens and closes the air inlet when wind pressure increases or decreases, maintaining natural ventilation at a constant airflow. The system can be easily adjusted manually, with five different settings to allow varying degrees of airflow, enabling occupants of a building to receive plenty of fresh air without losing the benefits of insulation.
As it is a modular system, Ventalis is easy to install into existing frames, maintaining the outer facade of a building. It can also be mounted partially behind the outer walls of a facade to give a more discreet appearance, while the minimal frame thickness permits increased glass and therefore greater transparency.
