Lister Trade Frames has become a fabricator of aluminium products in a bid to win more commercial contracts. Listers are widely known as a PVC-U window, door and conservatory fabricator. However, many of its customers specify aluminium for their commercial contracts and shop fronts. Up until now Listers bought aluminium products from elsewhere, but has decided to take the opportunity to fill this opportunity itself. As a result, the company has launched aluminium windows, doors and bifolds. Mark Warren, Listers’ managing director, explained some of the reasons why he was drawn to aluminium as a material: “Aluminium has made rapid advancement in its product range, environmental credentials and its demand over the last few years. It is suitable for many applications, from retail shop-fronts and healthcare, to domestic and social housing. “Aluminium products won’t rot, rust, warp and are virtually maintenance free, and the strength of the product allows slimmer profiles allowing more glass area. “Products are available in a myriad of colours, with thermally enhanced energy rated products adding to their appeal, and aluminium is a ‘green’ product as it is almost 100% recyclable, with almost 35% of the aluminium produced today coming from recycled product.” Listers is working with Metal Technology and Beaufort. This will enable them to provide thermally enhanced casement, tilt and turn, and door products, along with commercial doors, curtain walling and bi-folding doors. Listers has also opened a brand new showroom and range of marketing material. 01782 391900
