Making a success
Alumet won the Manufacturer of the Year award at a recent ceremony at the Tower Hotel in London.
Former world racing champion Sir Jackie Stewart presented the trophy to Alumet's Dean Walton and Tim Goodbody.
Alumet has secured almost £15 million worth of orders within the last couple of weeks, and the company said that despite a difficult period earlier this year things are now looking very positive for 2010.
Alumet sales director Dean Walton said: "If ever there was a need to celebrate the success and resilience of manufacturing in Britain, 2009 is that year. We have been fighting our way through the deepest recession in living memory, this award is testament to the belief we all had in the future of our business."
